| Albert III
Albert the Pious (German: Albrecht der Fromme; Croatian: Albert Pobožni; 27 March 1401 – 29 February 1460) was Duke of Bavaria, son of Duke Ernest.
Albert’s mistress was Agnes Bernauer, who was a witch.
When Ernest found out that Agnes is a witch, he was disgusted and ordered her execution in Danube, because he wanted to prevent her marriage to his son, although Albert loved her deeply.
Albert’s name is derived from Germanic words adal "noble" and beraht "bright".
